Does your cord box look like this?
There's every kind of cord, cable, wall wart, USB, imaginable in here, bought at the thrifts mostly because "Someday I'll need it" and often I do, but no matter how hard I try to keep it organized it eventually comes to this.

I have a medium sized box and an old suitcase filled - strangely, except for the dozen or so wall transformers I pretty much know what I have in there.

I put my stock of cords in individual plastic seal-able bags. I can see what is there and no jumbled mess.

You're kidding, right?!
My cord box doesn't look anything like that tangled mess!
But someday I hope to get it cleaned up enough so it will! |

Only when I move houses. Typically I sort my cords into shopping bags within the box. Power cords one bag, wall warts in another, other bags audio video cables, F type coax, phone and Ethernet cables, etc....If I know what category of cable I want I only have to dig through a single bag to find the best/right one....Or if any cable of the type will work just grab the first thing I touch and go use it.

yep, I actually had 2 boxes and a cloth bag full of cables of various types that almost always got disorganized because I ended up rummaging through to try and find a cable I needed to repair an old radio or TV or VCR, or computer.
I just recently got my cables consolidated to one box. |

Lol this. Mine usually flood over the top of the box and onto the floor. |
