What's the attraction here? these little single conversion radios are usually poor performers on SW and the TV tuner wont work for digital TV.

I bought a bunch of these for Christmas one year. They are pretty much toys, but nice for someone that wants to casually check out the shortwave bands. They are REALLY prone to interference, especially indoors. Tuning SW is also a pain with that puny knob. I think I paid 6 bucks for mine shipped from China. Can't really complain. Just keep your expectations low.

I can't imagine that set preforming well.

If you want a SW portable with good performance I'd recommend one of these.

I bought one new from Sony a good 6-9 years ago, and it has been an excellent performer.

Well, you could wrap wire around the box that it comes in and perhaps make a decent xtal set.

Those are the kind of sets you buy 2 of, 1 to save, the other not to worry about if you leave it in the hotel room, in yr rental car, if it gets "Borrowed", it falls in the Commode, this sort of thing..

PFFffft!
You'd 'owe me a roll of bounty' for that one if I had been drinking anything when I read that.

The hard part is pronouncing the name. Maybe it would help to sneeze at the same time.
