Greetings from Alabama!

Good evening, all of VK. My full name is TheUniversalDave1, but that obviously would not fit in the user name block. I am active on YouTube, Lighting-Gallery.net, and Vacuumland.org forums. I have an interest in vintage vacuum cleaners, fluorescent lighting, and was many years ago interested in vintage VCR's and TV's. I started to get discouraged with vintage electronics because they were often broken, needed repair, or did not work. But now I have found this forum, and will soon be trying to rejuvenate my interest in vintage electronics. I am proud to still use VHS, Beta, and audio cassettes. I got a Vizio TV for Christmas, a few years ago, and was so disgusted by it, I gave it to my mother. I now proudly use my 1983 Zenith 14" with Space Command.

Welcome!

I used to collect vacuum cleaners as a kid, but aside form a 40's (I guess) kirby, and some 50's (I assume) handheld dust-buster wannabe I lost interest and unloaded them long ago....Same thing happened to my antique phone collection to a lesser extent. I also used to collect metal desk fans, but never really got rid of any significant portion of them when I stopped collecting them. Though I wish the idiot previous owner of my previous home had not left a bunch of corrosive chemicals in the cabinet row that I had my fan collection sitting on for several years...The damn fumes corroded a lot of pristine fans that I really liked.

Welcome to VK, thats a very nice "Machine Age" looking Philco table radio you posted.

And what would you like to know about high-mercury fluorescent lamps?

I pretty much know all there is to know about fluorescent lights! I'm in the Birming-Mess area.
