TOL Zenith System 3 at an upcoming sale

Saw this Zenith System 3 in a sale for two weeks from now, and I'm definitely going to go get it. It even has the original remote! I've read that these are great sets they produce an excellent pix.

Probably an SM1973P I bought one new. Fantastic pix on them.
Also has auto on & off ( clock TV) IIRC. Also available in plastic
but the genuine imitation wood makes it look great even
when turned off !!

I had one I sold in last years ETF. It was particle board with veneer over it...Real pissah for a table set, but heavy enough to be a console. If the veneer on mine was better I'd have kept it.

I'm definitely looking forward to getting this one. It's going to go on that cart I got a while back. Hopefully it's not too heavy... Now that hi-skool is over, I can get to the sale super early on Thursday and pick it up right when they open. Just to be safe. I know the lady that runs these sales, and she always gives me a good price on TV's.

I just went and picked up my System 3. Best case scenario. Free, nobody wanted it, all I had to do was lug it to my car. Pix when I get home. May 1982.

Just tried the set. It works, but the remote does not.

CRT looks healthy. Did you clean it up? Looks like a super low hours set.

Just LOOK at this picture! AMAZING! It just had some fluffy dust in it. I blew it out. The only problem with the set is that two of the three anchors on the door are cracked, and it likes to not close correctly.
