Victor R-32 problems
I have a Victor R-32 radio from 1929 with weak volume, It is at a real low level but can be varied by the volume control.
I have no schematic, And was curious if anyone else has worked on one of these or can give me a clue as to what might be wrong. Power supply voltage is around 275v and both 45's are new. |

Is that the one with the big slide rule dial?

Sure is, It's a real cool looking radio. And from what I have heard, A nice sounding one too.

Here is a schematic thanks to efforts of Scott Harvey. Note how the volume control is connected to the antenna. Do you have a long wire for the antenna. A proper ground also helps.
Paul I'll email you the schematic. It exceeds the file size limit. Last edited by PaulC; 09-26-2003 at 09:23 AM. |
