Or the Chevy-Van series from C. 1965-69 that had the motor up front, over a crude beam axle.. But Ford & Chrysler had similar designs... They were MODERATELY safe as long as they only had a 4 or 6 cyl motor.. But put a small V-8 up front, & you were ASKING for trouble..

I think those Ford vans are counterweighted in the rear. Still, not enough.
