I went to one of the last electronic-supply stores here in the San Francisco Bay Area last weekend, and they had a few blank Super VHS tapes in stock, so I bought two of them just in case I want to play with VCRs again any time soon.

They also had two BCT-30MA Betacam SP blank tapes that will work in my ED Beta VCR, so I bought those too.

Fun near-antique technology!

Mad Max (1979/1988 release) - “Superior Quality Duplication - Less than .5 dB signal loss; THD (at -10 dB) less than .20 dB” - According to Vestron Video/Orion Pictures; the labelling made it sound like a big deal

4 Sony L-750 Betamax cassettes (newer wide window version), new old stock.

Sanyo VCR 7250 Super Beta HiFi ; and it actually works perfect

I found this movie NOS at Goodwill one time (it was still in its original shrink wrap) and it was a colorized version!

I've got the same Macross video tape you're talking about, except I've only got one of the 3 tapes from that set. I've also got Bubblegum Crisis on VHS (the whole series) that a friend of mine gave me years ago when I was first getting into anime.

I wouldn't give up yet. Depending how it was mailed, bulk media rate or whatever, it might still show up.
