Please keep all your related posts for this set in ONE THREAD. It helps us follow the action to keep aware of whatever you've done earlier to this set to figure out what went wrong. Posting the same set's problems in multiple threads is more than enough motive for people to start ignoring your posts. You've now started at least 4 threads here for problems with this one set.

I also see you've messed up the ARF TV forums ( as che57vy) with over a half dozen threads on this one set. Again, keep the one set in one thread on each of the forums you participate in. There was no need to start this thread when you've already started a thread here for the same problem already. http://www.videokarma.org/showthread.php?t=263801

Thank you.

Wrong answer, that's not what any of us want. But we can't help you if you are jumping all over the place. As I said, we need to keep track of the work you've already done to the set to know how to help you.

Please keep trying.

There are lots of folk that want to help you both here and on AR.
Most but not all of us follow both.
To get a good response post your problem & what you have tried.
Also model & chassis numbers.
A screen shot & pictures of the chassis & set also help a lot if you can.
After you fix the deflection you will probably have other problems
especially if the set has never been "restored". Keep the thread
going & we will help bring things along. If you get everything
going OK & a year from now another problem comes up thats
when to start a new thread with a reference to the old one.
Bottom line is go with the flow. You wont find a more helpful
folk than here.

You might want to check resistors too. If any are open or far enough off tolerance, then various problems may result.

Could you give more specifics of your work so far such voltages measured (tube #s with a chart of pin#/schematic voltage/measured voltage), what equipment you used to check caps, and tubes, which parts you have replaced so far, and when you did it relative to the manifestation of the current problem?

The more you tell us the more likely we are to find the problem, or some oversight or error on your part that you'd never notice....Heathkit used to advise people having troubles in their build manuals to 'have someone else not familiar with your work check it over to see if there are any errors you may be unconsciously overlooking'.

And please don't take Wiscojim's comments as picking on you. He is a nice person, and I know he means well. He does raise a good point: starting only one thread per forum on a given set collects all the recorded work history in one place, and makes it easier for us to know exactly what you're dealing with (which will improve the quality, accuracy, and relevancy of the advise you get). Most of us are too lazy to search for a handful of old threads on a set (which we may not remember or even know exist) to get history or specifics that you have already posted (and then we'll end up asking you to repost that info thus wasting your time needlessly).

Also to regular readers on this site multiple threads on the same thing can come across as spam-like (an undesirable way to come across on any web forum).

Enter what you know about your set, model number, chassis, and let someone
here take the point and help you find your trouble....

Good day !
