The "What Do you drive?" thread....

Thought it'd be neat for us all to share what we own, car wise

Here's mine:

1. 1985 Chevy G20 conversion van - I've had Patches for almost 10 years. She's got me through hell and back, and I pretty much owe my whole life as it is to this old gal. Still has the original "computerized" Quadrajet carb and air tubes, and it all still works.....

2. 2007 Cadillac DTS - A big paradigm change from the van . Just bought it two weeks ago. LOVE the car!

3. 2006 VW Beetle - The wife's car. Gotta love the license plate, huh? It was my idea. We keep getting people coming up to it snapping pics with their smart phones

4. 1958 Plymouth Savoy Club Coupe - She ain't too pretty, she's an oldie but a goodie . A work in progress....

1986 F-250 Diesel, just won't die so I'll keep driving it.
2003 Monte Carlo GT, wife's car.
1976 GL-1000 Gold Wing, my toy.

Used to have lots more 4 and 2 wheelers, but this is all right now.

Not wanting to offend anybody, I own a Chevy, a Ford, a Dodge and an International...and my wife has a Corolla.

Here is the 51 Ford, that I've posted before. You can see my 67 Impala in the background. The Chevy was my first car, just today I found some receipts where some work was done to get it through state inspection back in December '87, weeks before my 16th birthday. It's a 283/Powerglide and has been beige, black, maroon, red and now aquamarine. (I decided I was old enough, finally, to have it the color I really wanted!) As for the Fordor, I picked it up in December and have been having a ball with it. Flat 6/3 on the tree, runs great, just a fantastic car.

I also posted photos of the 2 pickups: my 74 IH that I rescued from the crusher a few years ago, AMC 258/3 on the tree, a reliable old beast...and my daily driver, a 96 Dakota (V6/AT)that I bought in 97. Just turned 250k not long ago. Great TV hauler!

'98 Chevy Lumina. 174,000 miles. 120,000 of those I've put on since I've owned it.

'94 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup, 4 wheel drive. Used mostly for going to the dump and getting around in the snow, when we have any.

The 03 Merc is my driver, the 72 Buick is still stashed away back there in CA in hopes that someday I'll eventually get to restoring it.

1996 Volvo 850 sedan 5 speed(car just wont die 180K miles
1992 Ford F-150 straight 6 5 speed-This will last forever and bulletproof(IMHO, the BEST engine ford ever made as far as reliability and durability) 180K miles
1964 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 special ( a work in progress) 114K when parked and soon to be 0 again

Love the Fordor! I know someone who has a '53 with the flathead 8, that is the quietest engine I ever heard.

I find myself liking old cars more and more all the time, especially "oddballs". That is a nice looking Cordoba-what draws my attention to these is that , as a kid in the 70s/80s, hardly anyone we knew had a late model Mopar so I didn't get to know those cars.
