High-End '42 Zenith Console in SW Mich.
No affiliation
1942 Zenith 14H697 It's a 14 tube Zenith AM-SW-pre war FM with a record cutter. Of course, I'm nowhere near St. Joseph, Michigan. Wish I could afford a trip though. Shipping costs would probably be in orbit. I have this chassis in a cut-down cabinet, and have had my eye out for a complete set for a couple of years. This is the first I've seen for sale. If anyone decides to go for this, I have a copy of a '42 Zenith service manual and I'd be glad to make a nice scan of the schematic. The ones being offered by the manual dealers online are unreadable crap. A word of caution - this chassis used that disintegrating rubber sheathed wire. That aside, it's an excellent performer. |

That's about 2 hrs from me and different enough to be interesting. I just don't have room though. I'll wait until the end of the auction and see if anyone bids on it. Hopefully I won't be tempted.

I forgot to watch this. I was hoping someone here would get it. Hopefuly they'll relist it or find a good home for it.

Yeah, excepting the 22/23 tube models that year this was the TOTL, and I'm sure others are better versed on Zeniths but I have never run across another model with a lathe.
