even if I do I have to get past the ultra low WAF.
I have been looking at some of the old vintage stuff and then looking at the new stuff (water cooled, 2 and 4 stroke etc...) I just cant get past the new stuff "toy" look, tons of plastic, wild graffix, and I suppose the monster travel is needed for the hard core rider to launch off monster jumps. Not for me way too old for that. I just want one to tinker on and ride some easy trails. I have been looking at early RM 250's, 370's like 76-79 would even look at something like an XL500 which is prob more my speed now a days. Long range plan is to build a cabin with a monster garage workshop. Just hope I live long enough to see it. the prob seems to be as you get old enough to afford stuff, you start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. anyway fun to research for now |

Funny how we get rid of stuff and want it back years later.

Unless we are smart enough to keep what matters.

Here's my son in the summer of 2013 on his 1974 Suzuki TS185 enduro. That thing can take anything he throws at it, and does! It's simply an awesome machine.
I bought it only needing a new front rim, for $125! Engine was totally gone through. It was, believe it or not, in a dorm room at UB!!! It was owned by the dorm RA, and he got busted with it in his room and he had to unload it FAST, in a snowstorm in January 2013. You should have seen the looks we got as we rolled it down the hall and into the elevator

Nice bike! I had the following while growing up
Honda SL 100 Kawasaki KS125 Suzuki RM250 funny story about the Dorm bike, I did that too!! was on the second story of FTU (now UCF), I would drive it up the stairs, park under the bed (had bed on stilts), keep it covered with a sheet, and pull the tank and leave it out on the window sill. I actually think I saw a pic of the tank on the window sill one day while surfing old pics of the school. If I find it again I will post. I never got busted for it either. Back then UCF was in the middle of the woods with LOTS of trails to be ridden. |

You see tons of 2 wheelers around campus mostly consisting of a lot of OLD euro junk that you would not expect to see on the roads anymore, except possibly in much smaller numbers in similar metropolitan downtown areas.

Yeah, those early '70's Jap dirt bikes where some great machines. Like the Yamaha AT-1, CT-1, DT-1, HT-1, JT-1, etc. I loved my AT-1 (125cc enduro), and then moved on to a Suzuki TM-125 @ 16 (since dad wouldn't let me buy a car till 17). That's an incredibly well preserved TS-185 you picked up there. It's probably worth 1 to 2 grand out there to someone on fleaBay.
