May 1939...

And as we know RCA/NBC is readying itself to broadcast Pres. Roosevelt's opening of the 1939 Word's Fair in New York... and amongst the newsreel men is a television camera....

I am sure you guys have seen heap of pictures of the event but stumbled across this one from the Life™ Magazine archive....

(I hope this is a proper place to put this picture up)

Thanks for the post. I would love to see a video of someone playing the Roosevelt opening speech on a working pre-war set.
