fleemarket find crosley
I got this one for $5 I'm sure it's dead or near death so I'm not pluging it in. It also looks to have been painted.

Yeah, it's painted...but it was prolly done at the factory. I have a similar set, made in 1953. Mine still works, is surprisingly sensitive for an AA5. 5 bux ? You didn't get hurt.. re-cap it, maybe a tube, & it should be off to the races...-Sandy G.

Crosley models 10-135 to 10-140. 5 tubes, AC/DC, not a lot of caps (but they ALL need replacing...). Refinish it in a retro auto laquer (like candy apple or metallic aqua) and it'll bring a few hunnert bucks on evilbay... I'd keep it myself!
Sams folder #93-3 covers it - email for a scan. tbavis(at)rochester(dot)rr(dot)com |

well I should have said looks to have been repainted cause it has some over spray on it and a very small painted spot on the chrome. hmm maybe I can get a cool red or aqua in a spray can,car touch up paint would be cheaper and easier. But it is a keeper,I really like the dashboard look.
