Here is a rough list of my favorites (judged by how much I have played or enjoyed each one), and the versions best-to-worst in order that I have played:

1) Robotron 2084 (Arcade, Atari 5200, Commodore 64, Atari 7800)
2) Q-bert (Arcade, Nintendo, Colecovision, Atari 2600 (poor imitation))
3) Pole Position (Arcade, Atari 7800, Atari 5200, Atari 2600)
4) Donkey Kong (Arcade, Colecovision)
5) Megamania (Atari 2600)
6) Frogger (Atari 2600) (occasional arcade play as well)
7) Ice Hockey (Atari 2600)
7) Space Invaders (Atari 2600) (occasional arcade play as well)
8) Burgertime (Intellivision)
9) Ms. Pac-Man (Arcade, Atari 2600)
10) Centipede (Arcade, Atari 5200 or 7800?, Atari 2600)

Comments on your list (Post #1):

1) MS. Pacman - Arcade
--That may be my most-played arcade video game, partly because it was far more common than Robotron or Q-bert.
2) Frogger - Arcade,Atari 2600
--My friends and I always played with the 2600 "wrap-around" option turned on, which made it much different from the arcade version (and easier).
3) Berzerk - Atari 2600
--Not a bad version, but the 5200 one is very good.
4) Donkey Kong - Colecovision,Arcade
--Me too.
5) Dig Dug - Arcade,Colecovision
--I never played this much, but I did play "Mr. Do" on the Colecovision a bunch.
6) Venture - Atari 2600,Arcade
--A friend had the Colecovision version of this; it was fun.
7) Ladybug Pacman - Arcade
--This one, I do not know. Ladybug was available for the Colecovision but I do not remember playing it.
8) Galaga - Arcade
--Lots of fun, better than Galaxian, and also very good on the Atari 7800.
9) Worm War I - Atari 2600
--I never played that one.
10) Space Invaders - Atari 2600
--My friends and I would have worn out this cartridge, if you could "wear out" a cartridge!

I just said goodbye yesterday to an original fully restored 1981 Galaxian arcade game. Wasn't mine, I bought it for a friend in Phoenix for $600 on the very last weekend of a flea market that's been running every weekend for the last 40 plus years. They're gonna knock it down and put a Wal Mart there

Had it for 2 months and the family and I played the snot out of it . Cost was about $450 to ship it from Buffalo to Phoenix, shrink wrapped and blanket wrapped.

I got my career start in electronics repairing the monitors from arcade games in 1981, mostly Defender, Berzerk and similar games. The monitors were made by Electrohome, and used a modified JVC 19-inch color TV main circuit board.

Oops, we went off-topic here.

kamakiri, not to be critical but that picture doesn't show a Galaxian nor does it show a fully restored Galaga.

Glad to see a lot of classic arcade game love here! It's my primary hobby:

It's so hard for me to narrow it down to 10 much less put them in order, but here's my stab at my top 10:

1. Donkey Kong
2. Spy Hunter
3. Elevator Action
4. Sea Wolf
5. Ice Cold Beer
6. Ms Pac Man
7. San Francisco Rush the Rock
8. Pole Position
9. Bubbles
10. 1942

Oh yeah, almost forgot to comment on the list above.

I own 7 of your list so obviously I like your list! Wouldn't mind getting an Asteroids/AD at some point but it's not in my top 10. I have fond memories of Space Invaders but it just doesn't do it for me much anymore. Galaga is a good game but it didn't ever particularly grab me BITD and due to the fact that it tends to be one of the more pricey classics, I don't have any great desire to get one. The rest on your list I own so enough said!
