I just got my Super-Fine-Pitch HD CRT Sony up to my room. If I can fix my '71 Zenith's color fade/loss issue well enough quick enough it will become the stand for the Sony in time to watch the ball drop on both.

Ready for the ball drop!
 DSCN2324 by Tom Carlson, on FlickrI cleaned all the color control contacts as advised on the Zenith and it's color level has stabilized. I somehow lifted all 208lb of TV from the 6" roll cart up on top of the 71 Zenith singlehandedly without breaking or pulling anything. I CAN DO ANYTHING!!!  The jug is has to be STRONG in the Sony. It is a low hours set  , and it outshines the vintage sets even with brightness at min.I may be SD for the time (lack of long enough HDMI cable), but in the new year I will have HD in my main viewing space. Have a HD(Happy Doggone) New Years everyone!

I hope you stretched before picking that thing up. Or you may end up with some pain later... I know. Sometimes you end up with it, even if you do stretch.
Earlier this year, I pulled a 16hp flathead Briggs&Stratton engine out of one of my tractor's... 2wice, by hand! Streched before-hand, but still had a pain in my lower back and ass the next couple of days. I felt fine the rest of that day... It was getting out of bed the next that I noticed... I have no clue what that thing weighs, but it was heavy. and I'm a guy that works out...ALOT! Happy Tube Year! y'all.

I'm doing alright. Earlier yesterday, I had lifted a 148lb tv of that family* myself to prove to the friend I gave it to (who could not lift it himself) that I could do it....Then we carried his new set up from the basement to his SUV. Then me him and his friend carried my 208lb set pictured above up the stairs, and I also moved that Zenith it sits on several feet so I could give it some maintenance before anchoring it. My hat is off to them for the help, my dad who helped me get the small one into the basement and the one I'm keeping out of the 2nd story of the home I bought it from (he said that was the last help he was giving on one of these Sonys).
