http://web.archive.org/web/200312022...finalmeals.htm

Some "Refused last meal" while 1 had "Yogurt" listed......

Maybe those who refused thier last meal are the ones that feel guilty and sad about what they have done... Good theory?

Its sad in a way because the people that THEY MURDERED didnt have a choice for a last meal!

i would imagine regardless of any remorse or lack there of concerning thier crimes...there are bound to be some folks who just don't feel much like eating in that situation.i can't imagine i would be all that hungry

i found some of the requests a little over the top...enough food for three or four meals in some cases,i have no issue with the tradition of giving the condemned thier choice but...i'd think they would draw the line at a weeks worth of groceries for one meal

Here in Arizona it used to be whatever they wanted. They changed it to anything they want that they already serve in our kitchens.
For example no more steaks or seafood. If they want pizza as their last choice, it would be the crappy pizza they serve to the rest of the inmates.

IIRC...in the weird movie "SHocker" about a deranged TV repairman who is a serial killer..He requests a TV in his cell on his last day. He took it apoart.....and if I remember--connected himself to the HV ckt !! Somehow---when he got the "chair"...that caused his "spirit' to live on...and haunt a teen guy who is the son of a detective on the case. This kid has some sort of "connection' to the killer throughout the movie.

BAD Movie...but interesting for some tv- repair related scenes and such.

The good thing of course is you totally don't have to worry about if it's a healthy meal.

Bring on the half dozen eggs and half pound of bacon, wash it down with whole Milk, or Half & Half for that matter. Have a whole Cherry pie for dessert, and some chocolate cake too, Triple Espresso please.
