Zenith E514W clock radio
A 1960 model, this one had a bad 35W4. I replaced that tube, recapped, and cleaned the radio up. It took me longer to clean all the dirt out of the speaker grill than to fix the radio itself. Clock works...

Very cool, this one has some style, and being a zenith I bet it works well too

I don't remember Zenith, Motorola and RCA, building el-cheapo four tube autodyne radios, like many of their competitors. Zenith always lived up the name, " Zenith Long Distance Radio". |

I think Zenith used the old Telechron movements which are built like tanks.

I'm not sure if they did use the telechron, but I know it was not use exclusively since my Zenith clock radio has the original Sessions labeled clock.

The newer clock radio shown probably has the Westclox movement.

These both use telechrons.
