RCA model 721TS, 1947, including an original RCA stand

I'm thinning down my collection, here is a nice, restored and working vintage TV that works great, a working RCA model 721TS from 1947, including an original RCA TV stand.

If you live near Chicago this would be a great item for you to pick up. However, I will consider shipping it too.

That was one of about 15 sets I sold when I decided to cut down the size of my collection (which I have since built up again), after I moved from Memphis to Kalamazoo in 2012. I good to see that it's still working I actually wouldn't mind having that set back, I'm kind of temped to bid on it.

I've been watching your set this week too. I may bid on it too. If I won it , I'd come get it or have a relative/ family member pick it up for me.

Dude you're like a mile away from me. Well, ok, 10 or so, but still. It's a beautiful set, but if I'm honest, I enjoy the challenge of fixing something a little more than the thing itself.

Also, I love the back cover. It looks new. And custom. Wouldn't it've had the thin particle board or whatever that is? Still, I really like it.

The early RCA models did have perforated metal backs and this one does look correct but it may have been repainted or it could be a reproduction. Amptech Systems sells them and they are very good matches to the originals.

It's one of those reproduction backs, it had no back when I got it. I wish someone would reproduce the back for a Motorola TS-18 I have. Those Motorola 7" sets are common enough that I would think there would be reproduction backs out there. I made my own for a 7" Admiral I have, drilling 167 holes, and I don't really want to do another.

I have a friend in Wauconda that's holding a Hallicrafters T-67 for me until I can get it up here. Hmmmm.....

I bought my 721TS back! I had even been thinking in just the past few weeks that I missed having a set with ch 1 on the dial.

Brian … I'm sending you a pm about picking it up.

channel 1!

I've got an agile modulator set to channel 1 transmitting from a pair of rabbit ears on the other side of the room. And that Astro-dog antenna is actually all that's hooked to the 721ts.
