I'm currently building a machine to fuse electron guns and lengthen necks. The machine will work vertically. I'm a bad mechanic, so this work takes a long time.

It looks like a nicely made machine. I'd probably make a ring for those 4 posts the cone of the tube rests on to support and restrain the tube better. I don't know if you will ever encounter some of the tubes we have here in the USA, but I'd consider making the loop capable of holding a 27" CRT and I'd make the neck hole capable of handling 2x the standard monochrome neck diameter to handle pre-1965 color tubes and electrostatic deflection tubes like the 7JP4 and it's scope tube cousins.

It's time to start practicing. The glass disc with the wires was too small compared to the diameter of the tube, but it doesn't matter at this stage. I wanted to see how the torches would work and how the glass would behave.

Looks like you did well. Some of the rectangular color and other tubes here taper down to a smaller base lead seal button similarly...If there aren't arcing concerns between pins you might be able to get away with using those base lead buttons on some tubes.

I received information that there are still electron guns in the currently demolished cathode ray tube factory in Piaseczno. It's true that they are from color cathode ray tubes, but maybe they will be useful to me for tests and also for parts.
