JVC CX 610 portable TV
Hello everyone.
I recently obtained a JVC CX 610 portable color TV dated December 1980. While there were many small portable TVs made back then and this may look like just another, one thing that surprised me is that this has quite a few features that would have been very rare on even high end TVs back in the day. Like the duel input and out put RCA Video jacks. The picture on this CRT is among the best I’ve seen for this size. With the quality of this unit and being that it is dated December of 1980, JVC could have marketed and sold this thing for the next 25 years and it still would have been a top end portable CRT all the way up until the end of analog broadcasting. Small portable CRTS made in the late 90s and early 2000s couldn’t hold a candle to this thing. Anyone else have any experience with these units or anything to add? I think they are quite rare and read somewhere that they may have been used in a professional capacity for some broadcasting Company’s. 7F06D183-5295-438D-B237-D4C139D7643C.jpeg FBA849BE-F653-41F4-AE5C-91A0C0A7CF38.jpg 4ADF6AC2-D1B4-46E4-8288-BDF1D840E476.jpg AEDF730F-734E-4FAE-B4BC-28E0995B7242.jpg Last edited by ELzekio; 02-16-2018 at 08:33 AM. |
