Opening bid WAY too high--sheeeeesh!

I was checking around ebay just now and found an auction for a Zenith H511Y radio, black bakelite. The opening bid was, believe it or not, over $200 (approximately $373 in American bucks)! What is this guy thinking, anyway? I have an H511 I got for just about ten times less than that on ebay two years or so ago. The only thing I can figure is that, given the seller is in England, the opening bid is in English pounds. The H511 was a good radio when new in 1951, but even then I'm sure it didn't sell for anywhere near as much as the ebay seller is asking in his opening bid. I'd say this was a case of another person very new to online auctions not knowing what he is doing. There seems to be a lot of that going on on ebay these days.
