National TR-449G portable TV

I have never seen one of these before and I can't find any reference to this TV online. Although this example was bought in the UK I have a feeling that something very similar might have been sold in the USA.

This example is UHF only and for UK/European 220V/240V power. It has a compartment for internal batteries. The photo shows a cover for the screen. The power cord is unlike any I've seen before and must be very rare.

Does it ring any bells?

Thanks, Tom.

The Sams data isn't very common in the UK. Any chance of a scan?
