Some of these were sold. The article is from'48 and I remember 1 of these sitting in the store's parts units bin in my old man's store. The owner had apparently brought it to the service department and as no replacement plug in modules were available making the unit too difficult to repair he either traded it in or just left it. Never gave it much thought at the time other than thinking about the future of repair techs if the idea took off. A few years later came solid state and works in a draw and I decided that my father's thoughts of my being a bench tech was not in my future.
