Finding a bolt-in swap could take a while, it's a General Instrument unit and is the only one I've seen without manual fine tuning. The one I'm using right now is from a JVC-built set, it's just sitting in the cabinet.
Actually I think I'll just try to find out what kind of FET it uses, hopefully without dropping the control cluster again, then grab one of those along with a 100K resistor and go at it. I can't imagine what else could be shot. Last edited by Jon A.; 02-17-2018 at 06:24 PM.
