Sencore CR70, "The Beam Builder".
I had a chance to buy a like new CR70 at last weekends Hamfest in Oak Creek. I had to get one, as I felt like an outcast on this forum because I didn't have one.
Trying it yesterday, I couldn't get any reading using the universal test adaptor. It didn't come with an operator's instruction manual, just the setup manual. That's the inportant one, anyway. I don't know if the setup manual has a notation about the 1-2-3-4-5 trick. I found the information on the internet last nite. Seems like Bob Anderson submitted it. |

You are not the only one without one...When I see them they are usually too spensive, or already sold. My B&K 466 is a good enough tester and a moderately usable rejuvinator so I've been content with it....At least till I snag a cheap CR-70.

Regarding to 1-2-3-4-5 setting, the setup book has an addendum page in yellow that mentions the setting for the universal adaptor, but it didn't seem to make sense. Originally, when I couldn't get it to work, I thought, that's why I bought so reasonable." It seems to work great now, so I'm pleased. |
