This is an old thread which never really received an answer and now I am also in need of the information. Thought I'd resurrect this one rather than start another.

I came into possession of an RCA 10J106A Test Jig which is missing the 4' long adapter cables for Yoke and Kine. I believe these are cables with molex connectors on one end and octal / CRT connectors on the other end. Any jig owners with cables willing to ohm theirs out and supply the pin out information so I can make them up?

Thanks

If the 10J106A is similar to the 10J106, the extenders are straight 1-1, 2-2, etc molex cables. The short molex to octal (yoke and convergence) adapters are what you need the pinouts for - see post #9 in this thread.

The molex-molex cables are easy to make, but not with the different wire colors of the originals. There are two up on eBay right now:

No affiliation. You'd still need the pigtails as in post 9, or the pinouts. RCA made a manual with the pinouts, but they are hard to find.

"Furnished with the 10J106 test jig is a
complete cross -reference handbook which
explains use of the instrument with almost all
television receivers sold by the leading TV
manufacturers. $339.95. -RCA Distributors
and Special Products Div., Bldg. 206 -2,
Cherry Hilo Offices, Camden, NJ 08101."

IIRC, someone had one for sale with a jig back when I first joined AK/VK. Dunno who it was, but maybe a regular bought it and has the jig manual.

Edit:

Vintage Manuals has a 10J106 manual:

http://www.vintagemanuals.com/manual/RCA/10J106%2C+107

Dunno if it is the detailed (binder) or the simplified manual (paperback, same size as a typical magazine...) Ask before you leap - the binder is what you need for pinouts.

Cheers,

If anyone gets the pinouts manual, I could use a copy.

Brian:

Thanks very much for the response. I'll look into the manual.
