1990 LXI 27" surround sound set 564-42955951 with raster lines

Bought this set 2 weeks ago for $8 for my daughter to play DVD and vhs on. Front and rear av Jacks with connections for 4 external speakers. Has worked like new up till yesterday when it was a bit brighter than normal with lines. After a few minutes, it went back to normal then messed up again. Then finally went to normal again and stayed. What's causing this? My guess was a cold solder joint or weak cap.

Filter cap in 200V supply BUT usually has shading if that.

G-2 voltage may be going up. Bad spot on control or
PC con under flyback. If control is on CRT board check there too.

If neither may be an actual video stage problem.

BTW when you got an intermitant try tapping around !
