I just pulled up you on QRZ, Tim; you have some nice stuff! Back in the late 1980s, we lived not too far from you in Williamsville. We were only there for about a year, until I was transferred to Rochester. My wife got homesick for the Pittsburgh area, so I transferred back.

I am in the process of putting up a G5RV antenna, so the Heathkit SB-104A can be put on the air. There is a Ten-Tec Omni V also ready to go, as soon as I get around to rebuilding the power supply.

There's syrupticious ways of having decent tennys...if you know what bands you want to listen to you can make long wires dipoles, etc outa any half decent wire you can find...if your radio room is on the top floor you can probably string some extension cords on the floor and loop some wire through the prongs to connect them to your radios...if yer really ambitious you could string the wire in the attic, and poke a pin hole through the ceiling drywall just big enough to fish a single strand of phone copper through.
