CBS network's connection with Westinghouse.

I have a DVD movie and a documentary relating to the news on the CBS network. All the sets in the newsroom were Westinghouse with big logos on them.
That seemed to be after CBS broadcasting bought Airking products and the Hytron plant.
That was part of an edict from the NTSC, that if CBS wanted to compete with establishing a color TV standard, they had to have a manufacturing end to produce said equipment.
You can guess who started that one!

I'm guessing the newscasts might have been sponsored by Westinghouse? I would think this would have really puffed out the chests of the Westinghouse TV dealers! "If it's good enough for the mighty CBS, it should be good enough for your living room, Mr. Customer!"
