Literature in TV shows

I've always been into paying attention to the little details in TV shows and movies. I've seen a few shows where the characters are reading real novels and magazines.

I was just watching a Matlock episode recently and Ben was reading a magazine called Outer Banks Magazine which I thought was interesting as Andy Griffith is from NC. On the back page of the magazine there's clearly visible an ad for WPBT 3 News.

I recall reading that, on the Andy Griffith Show, they would use the local paper from his hometown of Mount Airy.

In Corner Gas, Davis is seen reading Cosmopolitan at least twice, it's kind of a running joke. Karen is once seen reading Flare (a Canadian fashion magazine, no longer offered in print form). Other magazines have been used as props in the gas station.
