Insignia TV keeps turning off and on randomly

My mother-in-law has an Insignia flat panel LCD TV model NS-24L120A13. After it's been on for a few minutes, it starts cycling off and on by itself. It's been doing this for a while now, and it's driving her crazy. Any hints on what could be causing this? Thanks!

Had this same issue with my 32 inch LG. It was a case of faulty solder joints on the power supply board.

How long has your mother-in-law had this TV? If possible, I would return the TV to Best Buy for an even exchange. No one should have to tolerate a TV with a picture which flickers on and off (personally, this would drive me nuts). I can see why this is bothering your mother-in-law so much.
