Estate Sale Find....a Dutch radio
This Philips/Norelco followed me home the other day. It is a B5X14A/54. It seems to be from about 1960-61 and is mono with a stereo phono input. The tubes are all Miniwatt except for the ECC85 which says "RWN Neuhaus" on it. Not sure how to get this one apart, this being my first foray into the world of "Euro-radios". The magic eye looks like it has to be removed in order to slide the chassis out. Anybody have experience with one of these?

I blew up the picture, but the FM scale was still hard to read. It seems to go to 104 or 106MC.
Philips products made for the US or Canadian market were badged "Norelco". They advertised it as such. That changed after a while. |
