Hello From Seattle

I'm a 30 year old vintage gaming nut who uses old-school solid state TV's for classic gaming and watching classic movies on classic tech (ie. VHS and LaserDisc). I have a currently not working Mitsubishi CS1984R 20" wood cased stereo console, and a Daytron DT-505 portable B&W set.

My lovely Fiancee is another driving factor as she's into movies and music and one way we hit it off was our mutual love of all things electronic and retro. We're getting married in September.

I also tinker with small engines, and play/build/modify guitars in my free time. I probably don't have as much TV experience as most here as far as electronics go, but that's why I joined, to learn a few things, and maybe keep the Mitsubishi alive + share the appreciation for vintage mediums.

Good to meet you Mike from Seattle..... I knew my wife was a keeper when she helped me lift a Panasonic 34WXJ54 into the back of the pickup, and then willing to live with it in the living room all these years.....

I knew mine was a keeper when, rather than the classic female response to my 84' Mitsubishi which is "Get rid of that piece of junk! We have HD now!", it was "Holy cow man, where did you find a cool old woodgrain color TV? Up for a round of Super Mario Bros?" or being ecstatic with finding her a LaserDisc Player for her birthday.
