Any good source for Photofacts or Zenith factory manuals?
I need a schematic (at least) for a Zenith 13X15 chassis, which is in Sams 1076-3, and I haven't had any luck finding one online downloadable; since I live halfway around the world from...everyone else, this would be ideal vs. a hardcopy.
That said, I ordered a hardcopy from theschematicman, but he just refunded the purchase with no explanation. Nothing on eBay. So that leaves my only option a blurry, overpriced low-res scan from Sam's. Are there any other resources for this? I'd even take a Zenith manual instead of a Photofact. |

If that is a color set I likely have the schematic and possibly the manual. I don't sell the originals, but can copy.
Sam's you can only buy the hard copy or the one on Sam's site legally...all Sam's before a point in the 1960's are still under copyright and you can't legally upload them or sell anything but a Sam's issued print...heck most of the Sam's on the ETF have expired copyright and Sam's has been hassling the ETF anyway.

I checked my collection but its missing. Must have sold it already.
E-bay lists a lot of OEM manuals. Also there used to be a lot of used Sams dealers but most are probably gone. Is there anything particular you need ?? Maybe I can pull a similar & help. I assume its a B&W. 73 Zeno LFOD ! |

For what it's worth, one time I bought one from Sams and the resolution was poor. But I contacted them about it and they were very responsive & understanding, and they rescanned it for me. It was much, much better. So, while nobody is perfect, they at least worked to make it right. |

Well, ****. Never mind. I just opened it up to check the CRT and it's been necked. It looks like the set was dropped.

You might find a compatible CRT if you keep an eye out for less desirable 12 inchers.

Yeah there are scads of Emerson 12" sets from the same era going for almost free. Hopefully I the tubes are compatible. The Zenith has a leather case and is otherwise a real looker.

That CRT isn't that common. It uses the Sylvania type base, but that's no big deal. There's a possibility that it could be a low G-2 CRT. Zenith was great for that! Possibly, a lot of mounting differences.
