Tek 453 oscilloscope help
I have a tek 453 scope that has no test leads and I am trying to take some wave forms off a 50 tube B&W chassis.
What is the best way to connect the scope? It has a BNC connector which I made a couple of probe designs off the Internet but I don't think they work. I have also read a Coyne repair book from the 50s which says to use a 8 to 10k resistor in series with the probe and a .005 mfd cap connected to the ground lead. I'm not sure if this will work as the tek might only work with its own Probe. I also have a B&K 1450 scope but information on this unit it zero and it looks like it may need repairs. Thankyou Will. |

Save yourself a lot of trouble, and just buy some proper scope probes. Switchable 10:1/1:1 probes can be found for really cheap these days:
