RAYTRONIC Cathode Beamer -Boy, if I didn't already own one of these...

Boy, if I didn't already own one of these, I'd be pouncing on this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/201819306763

Shipping is high, but if you get it for near the opening bid price ($45), I'd consider that a great deal. With only 2-1/2 hours to go, it has no bids.

I bought one of these several years ago after reading about these on the online forums, but I never got around to trying it out. It just seems it has an amazing variety of abilities to precisely test and rejuvenate early black & white CRTs.

It would be a great piece to display next to a TV collection, even if you never use it, and it is in fantastic condition.

There is also another oddball CRT tester on ebay that has been offered many times over recent years, but is now finally in a price range I'd consider very reasonable (249.95 BIN). Again, even if you'd never use it, it would make a great technological display piece. It is a Hickok 590 CRT tester.

What a great piece of history it is.

Both of these items would be great museum pieces.

Seems it would be handy if you had, maybe, a museum of early television stuff, and a CRT rebuilding setup to make the needed repairs...

That guy's been trying to sell that Hickok 590 for at least 2 years. Think he started out at around a grand or so.
