|
Hi
does the tubes lights up? if yes, the B plus might be out. check the fuse. with time the fuse opens. Check the current at the picture tube socket. it will tell you if the b plus is down |
Yes, the tubes lit up real pretty. But I didnt want to push it anymore than that. I believe this set has been sitting for a long time. I cant wait to get to it more. I will keep all posted as to its progress, real happy that I got it.

Does yours have a Nuvistor on the VHF tuner like mine does?
|
In case that youneed a circuit breaker you could get the originals at
SMC ELECTRONICS |
Yea, those breakers can get flakey, not uncommon to be bad. What a great score you came across though!
And you don't have to have a clone to have a clone chassis! I've also seen those used with 25" versions with pincushion circuitry added. |
Hemingray,, I dont think mine has that?

Grimer, I have that one-my best performing roundie. Mine was a garbage find in the early 90s.

GRIMER,
This was our first color set when I was growing up. We had the antique white version. I never knew what happed to ours. Most likely it was junked. My step-father moved to another state. I already had a 1963 RCA home entertainment center "The Abbeville" that was moving with me. I've had the unit for 42 year now.
