Due to space, I must limit my collection also but I do have plenty to keep me entertained. But sometimes radios, TV's, etc. have a way of finding me and I can't send those orphans away!!

I was told of a Seeburg SMC jukebox set out for the garbage Wednesday night. I didn't even go check it out.

The fact that saving it would have involved me loading it alone into a truck with marginal brakes on a 35 mile round trip was no real deterrent. And I could have squeezed it somewhere if I got creative. But I have enough to fool with for now.

Of course, if it were something like a DeForest Sanabria, that would be sorta irresistable :)

Does anyone know the guy from Raleigh that had the sets on Ebay? If you go to the link at the beginning of this thread, you get a search for reference to him and the search shows no reference to him. It looks like he vanished from Ebay! Anyway, I lost track of this and wanted to see if the guy moved the sets or was still sitting on them.

Sorry, I don't know him, but I was watching a couple of his sets and they did get bids.

I just thought that he had other auctions; then I go back and his screen name is not even in their system. It just seemed weird. Darnit, I could have drove a couple of hours and picked up a working roundie for $50 (buy it now)! Oh well, I missed the boat on this one. :(

When I click on the link his screen name still shows up and when I click on it it gives his feedback ratings.

I will keep my rare 7 inch sets like the Temple and Garod and others also. They stack well. I have 7 steel racks of tv sets. If you need sets email me please.

I'm not much of a collector of tvs. I still repair modern tvs for a living(so I'm poor...lol) and mainly collect jukeboxes but I've always wanted a color roundie to restore. Old sets seem to be rare as hens teeth on the lower eastern shore of MD.I have never asked bgadow how he finds his sets.(I'm required to work on Saturdays so I can't go to estate sales, storage auctions, yard sales..etc.) You're probably too far away(Dont see a location) but it doesn't hurt to ask if you have one you want to part with. It needs to be a tv only. I don't have room for any kind of combo unit. Got a Seeburg HSC1 (6 ft long LP playing jukebox) and 3 other jukes taking up residence in the living room,a Magnavox console stereo and a Wurlitzer jukebox in the bedroom and 3 jukes in the guest bedroom and I live in a singlewide mobile home...lol.There's just enough room for a roundie tv in my bedroom and then I'm full up.

Yep, he's still there, but somebody got that beautiful Philco roundie for $36.00!!!:sigh:

I feel like an idiot! Procrastination can make a person miss out on a lot of opportunity!
