23EGP22's were never used in a quasar. A 25XP22 or equivalent will work nicely in it's (23") place. There was a modification kit available for the upgrade which included shaving the bezel to accommodate the new 25. We only did 2 of these back then.

nice to know this.i have a regular from when i was a teen who wants me to change a crt in an early motorola with a 23egp22.yes they still watch the set.i shot it about 5 years ago with my 467.its pretty sick again.after the rejuve it looked ok but it was soft and red was poor on bright scenes.
i have a brand new rca 23v sitting here that may go in it.they have owned the set from new in 1964!

btw static convergence on your set is done with those disc magnets under the spring clips on the 3 ends of that assy.

I bought a conversion kit from the E place. I'm not impressed by the recommended mounting proceedure. The brackets they furnished aren't designed to carry the weight of CRT. I'll take the hardware from a scrap set see what be done.
