Thanks for the extra pictures, it really is in very poor overall condition. Still can't see the CRT type, and honestly it's hard to justify an 80 mile round trip on a hunch that the CRT has any useful life left in it. :scratch2: Maybe if I was already driving in that direction. Agree with dieseljeep, hang onto the CRT and smaller tubes for now if you can spare the space.

It looks like it's also an AM & FM radio?

The extra pics help alot. If it were mine, I would save any decent trim part, the CRT if any good at all and the chassis. I just did the same thing to a 1955 Zenith because you just never know if you'll see another that needs a coil, transformer, etc.

Easy to do this because I have a large out-building. Maybe I can be the "Fred G Sanford" of pre-75 consumer electronics?

That's S-A-N-F-O-R-D period. The G stands for: I GOT and you need it. :D

Any model number info on the back of the set? I think Electronic M's family also has a Cabin in Hayward? It's actually very curious to find a TV of that vintage in the Northwoods of WI.

Correct. It is near Hayward, but I'm not likely to be up there for the rest of the year.
