The SC and the Douglas sets are very rare, cool, and unusual. I doubt there is a member here that would not be proud to own either of them.

I happen to have a table top Zenith with stand that looks identical to the one shoe horned into that RCA console BTW.

Electronic: Thank you. Yes the SC is rather rare. Can't find any information on it, other than the paperwork that came with it. I can't read it since it is in Spanish. The Douglas I was able to find a Sam's photofact for it though.

As close to Mexico as you are there is probably somebody who can translate it for you. Also schematics are the universal language of engineers so if there is one in with your manual(American makers often did that for the smarter users) or one tucked inside the cabinet somewhere(American companies did that sometimes, Europeans did it more so, and with how European that set looks who knows).

I know I could find someone to translate it. I went through it last night and did see the schematic for the radio only. Not for the tv section.

Welcome and those are nice sets and that Douglas sure is interesting.
There may be some extra tubes so the brightness/contrast controls can be remotely located. Does that chairside unit include vertical hold?

Maybe that S-C tunes different ranges on the AM-SW-FM bands?

1956 RCA TV 21-D-647 looking for new home
 

I just joined after doing some internet searching on Vintage TV's and I think this is the right site for me. I rescued a 1956 RCA TV 21-D-647 from the side of the road years ago. Never really had intentions of using it, but it was too pretty to toss and my hobby repair time is near zero these days. Please help me find a loving home for this TV.

More pictures available if needed. Located on Long Island exit 61 for you to come and pickup. It comes with an extra chassis and tube that came from a color conversion of a similar model with a poor condition cabinet. (I now know that this is sacrilegious, sorry). That cabinet is available with a 25" color installation. All trim/glass good condition.
