well Broadcast quality gear is not going to be at cheapo consumer prices!
That said, 1K$ for 2W is rather steep.

Reminder : all these power levels are totaly illegal without a Broadcast licence & assigned channel.
If you want to go "mobile", i would use 10 or 20W and a Yagi directional antenna.

In Europe, VHF Band III (ex-TV) is now used by DAB+ digital radio (interference to a Legit service).
VHF Band I is abandoned.
In the US, some ATSC Tx use Band III. is Band I still in use?

In my area I know there is an NBC station on channel 4-1, IIRC it uses the real channel 4 frequency. Of course I know ATSC allows you to display a "fake" channel number but looks like Band I is still used in Washington, D.C.

I still have multiple 2W amps on hand though. How would I go about combining the output of two or more amps into one RF signal?
