My uncle had one of these "appliance store specials" and you certainly got what you paid for. While easy to troubleshoot and keep on life support, they were nothing compared to a Zenith, Motorola WID or Sylvania OR even the Admiral, RCA, Mag and Philco in those days. The lousy tuners, short-lived 23VAGP22, and that 3DS3 lead covered rectifier tube was an added bonus:smoke:

Well now I know why I have no raster on it. The HV is only 4-6KV. Damper and H-out are good, B+ lines seem okay, but I can't find test settings to test the 3DS3 HV rect in my B&K 606.....Though the arc from the top cap suggests it is not the problem.
I may need a schematic for it.

Here are some pictures of set's I picked up at the ETF meet.
Ctc 7. It was a trade for a 21axp with Nick. He did a lot of work to this set and it is working good. CTC 11. This set I bought from Dave. It is in like new condition and all it needed was a alignment of the crt.
Ge porta color Set that was flat lined. A cleaning of the lin control fixed that. A really nice Sharp portable with stand. Have not worked on this set yet. Chassis is really compact and will have to spend some time on it to get at the horz board. This was the first time I saw the ETF and it was vintage tv over load. Just Awesome. Also, This was the first time I got to meet other Tv collectors and they where really cool people. For sure I will go to the tv convention next year.

Interesting modulator. Hope you can find the schematic and specifications on it.

I decided to make my own schematic of it, and a thread on it.

The darn thing is somehow still plugging along just fine on it's original parts!:tresbon:

I'd be interested in trying that now that I know I have a working unit.
