Don't everyone rush to bid all at once.

I know it's a bargain but please control yourselves. :D

I think 2 of those knobs are off of an old stove.

bgadow 10-15-2009 09:02 PM

Why did he pick that figure? You know, if I were selling a mint CT-100, I would start the bidding at 99 cents. Even if this set were worth that much, human nature keeps bidders away from such a large opening bid.

bandersen 10-15-2009 09:34 PM

Maybe the year 1974 has some significance :dunno:

DaveWM 10-15-2009 10:24 PM

maybe he is looking for the same bidder that bought that old MJ1035 zentih the other day for 800+

electroking 10-16-2009 07:33 AM

He should have made that opening bid 19.74 if the number means something to him...

Reece 10-16-2009 08:29 AM

Maybe he figures it was made in 1974. That was a long, long time ago.

Yeah...I remember some of the Village Elders talking about 1974...Seems some sort of prominent politician was in big, big trouble then, cars were HUGE & had big, big motors-Something called a "V-8" in them, people wore their hair long, there was some sort of scourge about the land called "Polyester", but at least, women had short skirts...What's a "skirt", though ?

Reece 10-16-2009 10:39 AM

Polyester, poison green leisure suits, orange shag carpet....as I always tell my kids, the seventies was an ugly time...

That's what a politician does when you ask him about the issues...

They have rear-wheel-drive V8 cars at the local Chrysler and Dodge dealers right now, mostly collecting dust.

Good news! It's been relisted at $1,487 :D

I wouldn't pay a penny over 1961.00 or for that matter, many pennies under that as well. :D

It does look like that there was a vague raster on the CRT. But not sure.

bandersen 12-10-2009 11:16 PM

Down to $198 now. The marketplace has spoken :D

I didn't see your comment before. I was thinking "those knobs look like they are from a washing machine".

ChrisW6ATV 12-11-2009 02:19 AM

$198 is really not that bad of a price. The set looks like it is in pretty good condition.

I agree and would go for it if it was closer.

It's finally down into reasonable territory. It will probably cost me at least that much to have my wrecked Meadowbrook cabinet redone. You could touch up this cabinet in about 15 minutes.

Combos are just hard to unload. Who knows, maybe it will be down to $100/offer in another week.

Phil
