Free roundie on CL in PA

http://allentown.craigslist.org/zip/1711090531.html

someone needs to jump on this, I hate freestuff on CL, some "repurposer" is likely to get it and turn it into a "project".

Used to have a set like this. The poster is not kidding about that heavy cabinet. Mine was a monster, too!

leadlike 04-27-2010 06:57 PM

It's local, but I have no interest in this one, however if someone needs a hand loading/unloading it, I would be happy to help.

Dave A 04-27-2010 09:22 PM

leadlike,

I like it too and just as close as you are. But it is either the console or my dining room table. No room for both. And stop by some time so we can compare addictions.

DaveWM 04-28-2010 07:29 AM

that dining room table has "got to go"

LOL

well its an 18hr drive for me, I just dont think I am up for that.

bgadow 04-28-2010 11:20 AM

Same old trouble here...I could ride up there, grab leadlike on the way (and drop off a couple sets for his stash!) and we could pick it up...but where in the heck would I put it? If it were just down the road I'd have to take it just to save.

zenithfan1 04-28-2010 11:47 AM

GAWD I'd love to have that set. I'm in love with that cabinet. I would do an 18 hour drive for that one. I've done worse......
Now if one of you guys that are close want to save it and bring it to the ETF next year, I would make it worthwhile........just a thought.:)

DaveWM 04-28-2010 02:16 PM

that 18 is one way for me...

bgadow, you're withing striking distance, you just need to double up on it

If I was single I would be in the car now :)

marty59 04-28-2010 09:47 PM

A nice cataract free crt too! Someone please save it!!

Phil Nelson 04-28-2010 11:08 PM

Are those clear knobs in the bottom row? I need two to complete my second CTC-11. If someone gets it for parts, ha-ha, I'll gladly pay for a couple of them.

Phil

We both know that the dining room furniture has already lost the battle in at least one home!

You can eat off the top of the TV, duh! :D

I would do 18 one way and I too would be in the truck already if I were single lol.:thmbsp:

"single" is the word of the day! 10 years ago I would have been there and back already. The days of a roundie for every room are over, though!

DaveWM 04-30-2010 09:22 AM

:D

she looked around and said I see you have 5 tv's in one room, is that enough?

AUdubon5425 04-30-2010 10:30 AM

I was shocked when I came home from work one morning and found my CTC-11 and Rockola jukebox moved from the front parlor to the back den. My wife & mother rearranged the den moved them back there. I know I'm lucky - many other women would have moved them out in driveway.

A roundie for every room.........................hmmmmm........

We already have 3 tvs for every room.............. My wife already has a taped loop whenever I say the word "tv" or "television" she says one of now four sayings after you pull the string.... "You got enough tvs", "you don't play with the ones you have", "you don't need anymore", and this one was added after we went and got the CTC-5 in Philly, "You're going to get it by yourself" But she did come to get the zenith porthole this week. And getting one is now always refrenced to the 5, which we call George, to get her ok, I say "its not as big as George." and the porthole was nicely smaller.

freakaftr8 05-03-2010 11:52 AM

Yeah, lol, it's almost like a training seminar women go to when thier husbands are into this type of collecting. Mine pretty much uses the same phrase verbatim.

But I must say one thing, I didn't hear any of those used this last weekend when we went to to go get the Sony KV3000R, she was more like, wow, and that's beautiful.. I asked to check her temperature cause I was in shock.

My father once mentioned one of his co-workers having visited our house, saying that we had TVs all over the house. One in the living room, naturally, in each bedroom, sure, and when he went to use the bathroom, sure enough, across from the can was another TV set... :D
