Sony KV-1210 with a new (in 1983) CRT, my space is limited by attic work underway.

Was GONNA be the little Singer TV6U.....but that project stalled when a parts set never materialized :(

Will probly watch this on the little Sony S8-301....and out on the patio with the big long aerial up while doing some other dumb project outside. That 301 has to be on about 10 minutes though before I have decent linearity(conehead syndrome). Gotta spend an afternoon again poking around the vertical section for some cap I musta missed (Thought I got 'em all). Watching football on a small B/W set is really sorta an excercise in futility when it comes to the colors of the uniforms, but I mostly just LISTEN to it anyway...any standout or odd play tends to get the instant replay treatment :)

Watching the "Superb Owl" (I like that)...for the crazy commercials is sorta pointless now with YouTube now having them almost immediately.

Going to mainly be watching it on a 40" LCD. But my other TV's in my sig are going to be placed in other rooms on also.

I may just have it on in the background on my Sony FD-20 Watchman.

I always make a it a special point not to watch.

I don't really watch football....but I'll likely have it on BECAUSE I don't really watch football. I have some projects going, and don't want to really put on anything interesting. I'm not really into the whole "couch potato" thing these days.

If I was REALLY gonna watch it, I'd have it on the 55" Sammy and accomplishing nothing else at all.

I have friends that also don't watch football, and a few that LIVE for it. The ones that do....tend to be a bit slovenly, drink too much beer, trouble with the marriage,etc.

No Superb Owl here either. Football=Boring IMO.

I get these things mixed up, who is playing this year? The Bullets vs. The Dodgers or is it The Mighty Ducks vs. Manchester United?

I live in Buffalo. I think the Buffalo Bills might be doing an exhibition game vs. Lafayette High School that day. The Bills are gonna get their asses kicked :D

All going well I'll be watching Superb owl on my Sharp LC-37G2X as I did last year when the NY Giants floored the NE Patriots.

Note: This is a 2006 vintage TV & it's well & truly past it's use by date by today's standards as these sets have a somewhat shorter life span then many of the vacuum tube classics that are still around & still in service & it's highly doubtful that there will be any working examples in 15 to 20 years time because of the nature of the technology with built in mortality.

Love that big 'ol tower on the right....with the 5.1/4 floppy. Even with all the machines I have around, I don't think I have one I could read any of the hundreds of those old floppies I have around in those flip-top disk bins. I do have a couple of the drives themselves though.

I am a huge San Francisco 49ers fan, so this year's Owl will be Superb indeed!

With the 49ers in the game for the first time in 18 years, this is BIG. I started planning my TV strategy for the game as soon as the NFC Championship game was over, on January 20. My first decision was to watch the game "live" as opposed to somewhat time-delayed on my DVR (Windows 7 Media Center). That means no pausing the game to get snacks or attend the grill in the back yard. So, I will need to have TV sets visible from every place anyone will be around here during the game. NFL football is completely high-tech, so my equipment will match.

The main system (same as last year) is an Epson 1080P LCD projector driving a 92-inch screen, with an Onkyo 5.1-channel Dolby Digital receiver and various speakers.

Other TV sets (or monitors with HD tuners) include Samsung 46-inch and 32-inch 1080P sets, 42-inch and 32-inch monitors that I rescued from the recyclers and fixed, a 15-inch brand-X HDTV from Fry's Electronics, and maybe my 24-inch computer monitor. I haven't yet decided where each set will go; that is part of this weekend's work.
