Anyone seen KC8ADU lately??
...

He hasn't posted anything since Febuary but you can find him in the members list and try sending an E-mail.

I hadn't really noticed that he hasn't posted in that long, and that's a bit scary. Especially if he didn't say anything about planning a vacation or something that might make him offline for awhile. Hope he's OK!

Very true. KC8 usually chimes in on discussion. It does seem quite odd that he hasn't been around. Does anyone have his personal contact info... maybe a phone number... and could check on him?
|
All is well
I was able to find a phone number. I forgot I had an address for a little while back. I called, and he is fine. He's been busy moving stuff around and hopes to have time to get back online again soon.

I shipped him a Sharp mini pedestal color TV for repair last February, with prepaid return shipping label. No responses to several emails since then. In the last couple of emails, I asked him to just send it back (at my expense) if he doesn't have time to look at it.

Well, KC8ADU (Delmar Crickmore) hasn't answered email in months. I also sent him a registered letter two weeks ago, and he refused to sign for it.
Why do I feel like he has stolen my TV? My last contact info for him is: Delmar Crickmore 11 F Street New Lebanon, Ohio 45345 Either he's dead, or he's a deadbeat. Today I sent a letter to the chief of police in that town. New Lebanon is a village with population of 4,000, so I assume they can pretty easily figure out whether Delmar is still walking this Earth, and if so, whether he still has my TV. Charlie, maybe you can call Delmar and let him know of this situation?

Guys,
I did try calling him this evening, but only got his answering machine. I did not leave a message... I'd rather be able to talk to him. I will try again tomorrow. When I spoke to him a few weeks back, I did mention to him that members were trying to contact him. If I remember correctly, I believe he said that he was aware of Vintagecollect trying to get ahold of him. |
Vintage, Sandy, & Phil:
I've sent you boys a PM. |
You're a good man, Charlie Brown !!

so what actually is going on with him?
|
Either a deadbeat, or just plain nuts -- who knows.
It took eight months of hounding, including contacting the local police, to get him to return my TV unrepaired. If I hadn't included a prepaid return shipping label in the box that I sent him, I imagine I'd still be waiting. I wasted a bunch of money shipping both ways, and the TV is still broken. But at least I got my property back. Here is a pointer to the original discussion about this TV and its vertical problem. http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=58760 If anybody knows an honest repairman who can fix this TV, please let me know.
