Finally got it off the shelf and finished the rstoration, only missing a set of knobs and some way to clean up the inside of the magnifier.
Looks like someone put water in it at one time and developed a good case of mildew on the plastic, will try some mineral oil and see if it leaks and is useable.

I knew I'd seen that set before

There's one of those in the Amherst Museum in Amherst NY.
