Mechanical tv on ebay

There is a mechanical set on Ebay. The number is 2202482946. I really do not know about such TV sets. Just putting out the information. Interested to see what the experts say about the set though. Bidding is starting out at $500. It appears to be French!!!

It is French, and made for the 30 line horizontal scan standard used in France and Germany in 1930-32. Since it is home made, it probably isn't worth more than about $1k, but you never know.

The disk looks like cardboard, where are the holes?

The disk is probably painted aluminum. The holes are too small to be visible in the photo.
