RCA Model Number ID
Does anyone know where I can find out what chassis would be in this RCA Roundie Combo?
The model number is HF-857M. Thanks! Roy |
the chassis number should be stamped somewhere on the back of the chassis. It may have faded from age, but its most likely there.

just send a pic and these guys will tell you the chassis number.they are sharp! the best techs in the world are in this forum!

Well I can't see the chassis as the owner is scared to take the back off and I am not in Texas.
But here is a pic of the set. Perhaps that can give a clue. It doesn't strike me as a CTC-15 or 16 because of the faceplate design. I am hoping it is a 12 or 11. Anyway, thanks for the help. |
Looks like a CTC-15 to me! I believe the 16 was introduced with a solid state amplifier for the stereo, this seems to be the year before, around 1963..

Looks like a CTC15 to me also. I would love to find one of those changers as mine is missing the little stub on the front of the tonearm that holds the cartridge in. I like the looks of this combo as it looks more proportionate with the controls hidden away.
